Last days, I have been looking for a way to install GNU gettext utilities on Mac OS X. I need them to manage translations for a new software a recently began to develop using PHP. Finally, after a few hours, I found what I was looking for, it is a site called Rudix, UNIX software packages for Mac OS X.

Since Apple decided to put Intel processors inside its Macbook, iMac, etc. some virtualization products that let you run Windows on Mac OS X appeared. This means that many people who always wanted to own a Mac, but also need Windows for his everyday job, has no excuse to buy one.

Different products come to scene to execute Windows or Linux inside Mac OS X. We mention two of them that we've been testing, Parallels and Vmware Fusion.

Recently, the new album from the United States folk-rock band, Indigo Girls has been released. It is called "Despite Our Differences" and you can listen to some of the sample songs at its web site.

Indigo Girls is a duet formed by Amy Ray and Emily Sailers. They come from Athens, Georgia, where other famous groups like R.E.M., Tracy Chapman, Suzanne Vega and B-52 were born. The group started in 1985 and published its first album in 1987.

During the last days, I've read in different blogs, about a new way to perform audio recordings. It is called holophonics.

We could say that these recordings are something similar to three dimensional sounds (3D), because the way they are performed produces the sensation that sounds come from any point around us.
